The renowned National Museums Scotland uniquely brings together science, art, the natural world and the diversity of human cultures, inviting visitors to explore the world under one roof. This publication looked back on a year which saw the celebration of the 150th anniversary, the opening of ten magnificent new galleries, over 2·4 million visitors and the development of a new strategic plan for the institution.
An attractive print format was devised for the review, with a design approach that made use of National Museums Scotland existing brand assets and its brilliant library of photographs. Generously sized images throughout, punctuated with similarly generous areas of white space and full bleed double-page divider spreads, lent this booklet a confident and engaging tone that reflects the culture and values of this famous organisation.
