Nesta | Making Digital Work conference
Making Digital Work was a publication
and accompanying conference event which celebrated the culmination of the Digital R&D Fund for the Arts two-year programme. It was
the follow-up to the print and online directory Native, which introduced the work of the fund and its participant project teams to arts and tech audiences in the United Kingdom. As with Native, this final phase of the project was managed by Nesta, in association with Arts Council England and the Arts & Humanities Research Council.
The approach to typography, colour and ‘dynamic’ graphic elements for Making Digital Work proved to be a seamless evolution of
the visual identity which had originally been implemented for Native. This ensured that the printed material, signage and venue dressing
for the conference at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre / Library of Birmingham was immediately recognisable as belonging to
the same family and helped bring that run
of the Digital R&D programme to a fitting end.
