King Cooler 1984 is a contemporary streetwear brand, started by Andrew Ferguson on his return to Glasgow after a period spent living in New York. The label is inspired by its founder’s love for fashion, music and the subcultural expressed through its stylish, quality garments. The brand is proud to wear its influences on its sleeve but adopts a quietly assured tone, in contrast to the ‘loud shouting’ of some of its peers.

A visual identity and design approach was developed for the brand that would reflect its tone of voice and varied cultural touchpoints. The result is a brand with a visual style that is understated, bold, modern and classic all at once. This thinking is encapsulated within the King Cooler 1984 brand emblem and official mascot — Elvis the elephant. Strong, proud, distinguished, regal and elegant, he is the symbol of all that this exciting and streetwise young brand stands for.
